Welcome to the home page of Dr. Donald B. Giddon.

EXPERIENCE

Since 1983, I have been practicing as a medically trained, licensed clinical psychologist in Massachusetts. Following my PhD in psychology with Abraham Maslow as my thesis chairman, and research for my PhD on salivary markers of mental and physical health, I added medicine to my training to be able to treat patients who have stress and disease problems, and have also taught about stress and disease at Harvard, Brown, and Brandeis Universities.

I am currently Professor Emeritus at Harvard Faculty of Medicine and Clinical Professor Emeritus at Brown University School of Public Health

I am also a Member and Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Royal Society of Medicine.

EDUCATION

I have a BA and MA in psychology from Brown and Boston University, respectively; additional training in the Rorschach and other projective methods at the University of Pennsylvania; and a PhD in psychology from Brandeis University under Abraham Maslow; passed National Board of Medical Examiners Part 1 at Harvard Medical School for training in behavioral medicine.
